What we are doing now
Increasing Awareness in the Community
- Educational Campaigns: HAUS will conduct awareness drives to educate Zanzibaris on the risks of prolonged sun exposure, such as skin cancer, sunburn, and premature aging.
- Health Benefits of Sun Protection: Emphasizing how protecting skin from harmful UV rays improves overall well-being and prevents long-term health issues.
- Community Events: Hosting events such as seminars, workshops, and interactive sessions to engage the public and demonstrate sun protection techniques.
Training on Sunscreen Production
- Knowledge Transfer: HAUS will train individuals and companies on how to produce sunscreens using affordable and locally sourced ingredients.
- Skill Development: Practical sessions on the step-by-step process of making sunscreen, from selecting the right ingredients to maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Accessible Equipment: Guidance on using cost-effective equipment to facilitate small-scale or larger-scale production, enabling local entrepreneurs to enter the sun-care industry.
